The picturesque village of Cottesmore in Rutland offers unparalleled access to some of the most delightful countryside in the Midlands. It is also close to the market towns of Oakham (10 minutes), Stamford (15 minutes) and Uppingham (20 minutes) making it an extremely desirable address.

Records show that there has been a settlement here since the mid 11th century, it's current name originating from Cotts Moor, and correctly pronounced Cotts'more. Set in England's smallest county, Cottesmore is it's third largest settlement, and known for the famous Cottesmore Hunt, and the RAF base close by.

As well as having the three market towns on your doorstep offering everything from everyday supplies, restaurants and antiques to two of the most highly regarded private schools in the country - Uppingham and Oakham Schools, Cottesmore has an excellent Primary School, Post Office and Stores, takeaway food outlets and a friendly local pub, the Sun Inn.

Our Old Hall Farm development stands in the original grounds of Cottesmore Hall, once the home of the Earl of Gainsborough, and destroyed by fire in 1927. The Grade II listed barns and outbuildings remained, and we'll be converting these to create twelve, elegant 2 and 3 bedroom homes which will retain some fabulous and original architectural features.

Hazelton have built a local reputation for building exceptional homes with particular attention to detail, and as well as the twelve conversions, Old Hall Farm will also have thirteen 2, 3 and 4 bedroom new build homes. All of which offer a unique and all too often overlooked mixture of craftsmanship, style and timelessness. This, together with the freedom to add your own individuality really does allow you to make a house your home here at Old Hall Farm.
